Distribution of Prizes
Belfast Royal Academy
5-7 Cliftonville Road, Belfast BT14 6JL
Tuesday 27th May 2008, at 7.30pm
Guest Speaker and Judge
Professor Paul Seawright
Professor of Photography, University of Ulster

The Top Print and Slide Competition will be held on Tuesday 27th May 2008, at Belfast Royal Academy Note this new date. Paul Seawright had a previous commitment for the old date.

As well as judging, Paul Seawright will also give a presentation at this event. To say the least, it is quite a coup to have Paul Seawright for our Top Print and Slide event. A Google search returns over 3,000 entries, and Paul even has his own entry in Wikipedia, which makes fascinating reading. Thanks to our President for persuading Paul to judge and talk.

PLEASE ENSURE A GOOD ATTENDANCE FROM CLUB MEMBERS

All starred Prints and Slides must be with Brian Mc Kenna or Peter Wilkin before Wednesday 7th May. Please check that all your starred entries are available. If you are not sure contact Brian or Peter (contact details in NIPA Directory). A reminder that smaller starred prints may be resubmitted (if identical) as 20x16.

Entries are also required by 7th May for selection to represent NIPA at the PAGB Inter-Federation Print Competition. 20 x 16 prints should also be sent to Brian McKenna or Peter Wilkin. Please urge your club members to ensure that we have a good choice of prints from which to select.

The next Council meeting will be hosted by ENNISKILLEN on THURSDAY 29th MAY. Note the change of date and venue. A map to the venue will follow later. In order to assist catering, Enniskillen have asked for an idea of numbers likely to attend.

The Bangor and North Down Camera Club has been in existence since 1960.<br />
We have permanent premises and our clubroom is well equipped to cater for almost all photographic needs.<br />
We encourage and welcome members from all levels of photographic ability: from new beginners; to enthusiasts and well worn experienced film / digital photographers. <br />

The key to our success is the willingness and enthusiasm of the members to share their knowledge, skills and experience and make all new members warmly welcome. <br />
We offer a detailed weekly programme of meeting events on Friday evening (September to May). We also meet every Wednesday (throughout the year) for informal 'Show me how you do that?' sessions. Such activities include: classes in; Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture NX, ProShow, Pictures to Exe, mounting demonstrations; and so on.

Please feel free to browse our web site and check out our Photo Galleries. <br />
